Another potential recipient?

I posted an ad regarding being an egg donor, and got some responses, but nothing serious. Well, one woman was interested, as we were alot alike, but for other reasons, decided to keep searching, I wished her luck and that was it... I hope she finds her donor soon..

An ANGEL in disguise!

I have been so caught up in my friends pregnancy, that I have not had the time to seriously search for our surrogate. I did tell my sister about it and she was less than enthusiastic about us pursuing this. She said I need to save more money and buy a house first, then think about it some more, and what if the person takes my money, what if they dont give me the baby, nothing positive, we argued I cried, then I hung up on her.. It wasn't a good day. I called my friend just to vent and I got her voice mail, so then I emailed her all the details.. She was soo supportive! She just said some people will never understand how bad we want this and since they are not going through it they are not capable of understanding.. It was alot longer but that's the jist of it! I love her so much, she's the best. And now for the best part........She talked to her husband and has offered to carry for us after she delivers her own baby!! How wonderful is that??? I was dumbfounded.. I am so excited that we have a wonderful friend that is that kind. She said she will be ready in 2004!!! that's not too far away!

Things are working out for someone..

Not for me just yet, but for my friend, she is no longer my potential recipient, as she found someone else to do a shared cycle with her, but she is now a good friend of mine even though we have never met. I emailed her yesterday and ironically enough, she had her retrieval yesterday (well her egg donor did!!) She is having her transfer on Saturday and hoping for twins, I hope she gets her wish!

FINALLY

No, NO, we haven't found another surrogate yet, I finally moved and we have internet and a phone! We moved in on the 25 of last month, but our phone and internet were just hooked up!!! Gosh, I have been so cut off from the world! I am looking for a job too, since I haven't worked since a week before the wedding! I am ready to start over at a new job, in a new area, maybe that's just what I need. I emailed the potential recipient today, just to touch base and to let her know I am not a flake...She emailed me back ans was so sweet about the lack of communication until now. I was honest with her and told her that things with the last few surrogates we talked to have not been going well, as they either live in a surro-unfriendly state or we just didnt see eye to eye on important things, they were all nice, seemed geniune, but we just didnt click, you know? Anyway, she said she is just taking time and weighing her options as well. Maybe I need to take a break too and concentrate on finding a job and getting settled into my new place.

Back from the wedding!

The wedding was WONDERFUL! We opted not to go on a honeymoon, as we are moving in about 3 weeks! We are relocating closer to DH's work so I am house hunting and surrogate searching, not too much huh? I am back in the saddle, but concentrating on house hunting mostly. I haven't talked to the potential recipient in a while just an occasional email here and there, she is gonna get in touch with the coordinator at the clinic in TN to see what testing she and her DH needs to have done. She did send me a card for the wedding! She's so nice! She said she can wait for me to get things situated, with finding a new surrogate and trying to move, but we will stay in touch. I am so sad that I may not be able to come through for her now. I told her I feel i am meant to help them!
