And Just Like That One Leaves The Nest

Our oldest son has gone off to make his way in the world.. Such a bittersweet thing. I am gonna miss him terribly, but I am so excited for the man he will become and the wonderful things the future will hold for him!

Our middle son is leaving in 36 days and if we had not realized our dreams of a child together via surrogacy and having our sweet little Greyson, we would be empty nesters already!! That's a crazy thought!

I did pretty good keeping it together sending my baby boy off. Y'all should be proud of me! I just have to make it through ONE more send off and then I can be a blubbering mess... I am even more thankful that we have Greyson because I think I would be in a terrible place otherwise.

BUT since it will just be us and Greyson, we are hoping we will get to do some great things that we haven't been able to do because of TTC and the cost that it involved.. We are hoping to finally take a honeymoon someplace cool (we chose not to so we could start right off with IVF after our wedding since we knew that was our only option) and we are hoping to take a couple of road trips (besides the ones to visit the two older boys!)

That's about it for now.. Here are a couple of pictures of our last outing together I have looked at these pics a bunch of times :'(

 Until next time!

  1. Awww...that is such a sweet post. Hang in there momma. My folks went from 6 to empty nesters in a 2-year span. They said it was hard but now, they LOVE it! :-)
